History

Founded by Janis Burenga in 1992 in the attic of an 1800's stone house under renovation, Bailiwick began with just one employee and a dog. Two freelance accounts awarded to Bailiwick by AT&T formed the foundation upon which Bailiwick grew into a full-service boutique with two dogs and a resident fine artist.

The two charter accounts that created The Bailiwick Company are still with the firm: AT&T and Avaya, the spin-off from Lucent Technologies.

Bailiwick’s headquarters are located in a renovated barn-turned-office set in the bucolic hills of Hunterdon County in western New Jersey, just 90 minutes from New York City. We are one of the few firms that offer a truly 21st century work environment, with virtual offices scattered from Brooklyn to Denver and linked through the latest in technology and Internet telephony.
